This blog post is an interesting look in to formal self-study and its relationship to the hiring process. There’s some good meat in the comments too.
Just relaying…the link. But, I highly doubt “books read” really counts for much during a corporate-ish interview. Would be cool if management/leadership really did understand the value. During interviews where I get to play the interviewer I always ask what would I see on the interviewee’s coffee table.
